Killing Joke members have come forward to issue a heartfelt statement on the passing of their legendary guitarist, Kevin ‘Geordie’ Walker, who passed away on Sunday (26th). Walker was born on December 18th, 1958, in Chester le Street, Newcastle, and breathed life into Killing Joke’s music since the late ’70s, contributing to 15 studio albums. Known for his utterly unique style, Geordie earned worldwide acclaim and a devoted fanbase. Surrounded by family, he passed away in Prague at 6:30 am after suffering a stroke. The band members are now reflecting on the loss, mourning the departure of a post-punk icon. Rest In Peace, Geordie.

“I spoke to Geordie last week. He began our hour-long conversation with “there he is,” and apart from a flu, he was in fine spirits and looking forward to the future with optimism. We reincarnated before and we will reincarnate again. I never left his side in 44 years. Tears”
