As Within, So Without have premiered the music video for the song “Alone” exclusively here on Metal Insider. The track is taken from the group’s debut full-length effort, Into Oblivion, which was released earlier this year.
The New York metal outfit formed in late 2016 as they introduced their relentless metalcore style with their 2017 EP, Our Self-Destruction. The group are influenced by bands such as As I Lay Dying and Wage War as their overall sound is compared with bands such as Attila and Escape the Fate.
The song “Alone” is a fan favorite as drummer Lukas Vitullo explained:
“The making of the video for “Alone” was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had as a band. We were thrilled because it was our first time shooting with our new guitarist, Chris Kallian. We filmed this video with Eric Dicarlo, who happens to be an exceptional video director and we couldn’t be more excited with how the video turned out. It was a pleasure working with him. When we were in the studio tracking for our debut album “Into Oblivion,” we were collectively excited to start tracking Alone, which is a fan favorite as well as our own. This is the most personal song on our album, as it talks about self struggles with the overpowering feeling of being alone and not having the people you felt were the closest there when you need them. We hope you enjoyed the song and video. Thank you for watching. We are As Within, So Without.”
