For those who were planning on grabbing tickets for next year’s Wacken Open Air festival, it appears you are too late. All 75,000 tickets for the event sold out in just 21 hours. Unlike other ticket sales, WOA organizers have advised festival-goers from buying tickets from third parties.
Next year’s event will take place on July 30th-Agust 1st in Wacken, Germany. The first batch of bands have been announced, which includes Judas Priest (50 heavy metal years), Amon Amarth, Sodom (Agent Orange show), Hypocrisy (Destroys Wacken again), Death Angel, At The Gates (Slaughter of the Soul show), Venom, Sick of It All, Cemican, Beast in Black, Nervosa, and many more TBA.
Organizers of the event issued the following statement:
“Metalheads! We are sitting here in Wacken and are honestly overwhelmed by what just happened: Wacken Open Air 2020 sold out in 21 hours, all 75.000 tickets are gone! Thank you for your incredible loyalty, and the faith you put in us!
You are the best fans in the whole word! This is why we already can’t wait to celebrate a one of a kind metal party with you next year. Look forward to many more awesome bands and a festival for which we put our international focus on South- and Central America and take you along for a metal journey into the realms of the Mayans and Aztecs! Fittingly, our first evaluations indicate that we will welcome guests from 83 different nations on the Holy Ground.
For now, there isn’t much we could add but: THANX FOR YOUR SUPPORT – SEE YOU IN WACKEN – RAIN OR SHINE!
Important:
Please don’t buy tickets from third parties – the only exception: As always, our official travel partners do still have some contingents (only bookable with a travel package). You can check them up them at Wacken.com”
