Wear Your Wounds was originally formed as a solo project by Converge frontman Jacob Bannon as we heard the 2017 double album debut, WYW. The project has since expanded to a five-piece and back in February, the group revealed they finished tracking for their upcoming sophomore effort.
Now, the band has announced their new album Rust On The Gates Of Heaven will be released on July 12th via Deathwish Inc. The record marks the first time the full lineup; Bannon (Converge), Mike McKenzie (The Red Chord, Stomach Earth, Unraveller, etc), Adam McGrath (Cave In, Nomad Stones, etc.), Sean Martin (Twitching Tongues, ex-Hatebreed, etc.) and Chris Maggio (ex-Trap Them, ex- Sleigh Bells, etc.) have joined together to collaborate on the album’s recording. The LP will also feature musicians Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe, White Horse) and Gared O’Donnell (Planes Mistaken For Stars).
To celebrate the upcoming new material, Wear Your Wounds have premiered a music video for the title track. The clip was directed by Max Moore, and you can watch it below:
