Sevendust kicked off their U.S tour earlier this month continuing to support their latest effort All I See is War, which was released in May 2018 via Rise Records. While the alternative metallers celebrated New Year’s Eve at their hometown in Atlanta, GA for a three night extravaganza, this particular trek had them travel across the country with Tremonti, Cane Hill, Lullwater, and Kirra as their special guests. This marked an evening of hard rock for all to enjoy and our contributing photographer Stephanie Asighieri was there on February 13th at the Paramount in Huntington, NY to capture all of its glory.

Lullwater

The night started early with Oklahoma hard rockers Kirra as they introduced their fresh sound to the Long Island crowd with songs such as “My Disease” taken from their  EP Fight Or Flight. Next up were Athens, GA rockers Lullwater as they presented the crowd with their grunge-alternative rock n’ roll style performing songs from their heavy new album Voodoo.

Cane Hill

After a short break it was time for the New Orleans metal act Cane Hill. The group had their first-ever North American headlining tour last fall as they’ve come a long way since their 2015 self-titled debut EP. To celebrate this particular trek, the group unleashed their second EP Kill the Sun via Rise Records last month. On this evening, the band also performed tracks from their sophomore full-length album Too Far Gone, which was released in January 2018.

Tremonti

As the night continued to progress, it was time for Tremonti to bring their new album A Dying Machine into the spotlight. The Florida metal act founded by Mark Tremonti (Creed/Alter Bridge) released their overall fourth studio album as well as a first under Napalm Records last summer and have been continuing to promote the record ever since. This night was no different as they performed new tracks such as “Bringer of War,” “Throw Them to the Lions,” and “A Dying Machine.” The group also went into older songs including “Cauterize,” “You Waste Your Time,” “Another Heart,” ”The Things I’ve Seen,” “Flying Monkeys,” and “Wish You Well.”

Sevendust

Finally, it was time for Sevendust to close the night. While the group released their overall twelfth studio album in May of last year, they only performed “Dirty” from All I See Is War. However, they made time for their Grammy Nominated track “Thank You,” taken from 2015’s Kill the Flaw. Overall, their performance was more or less a greatest hits evening as they went into songs such as “Black,” “Pieces,” “Reconnect,” “Praise,” “Dead Set,” “Trust,” “Enemy,” “Angel’s Son,” “Shine,” “Splinter,” and “Face to Face.” While Sevendust always delivers and never disappoints, we were surprised to see songs such as “Bitch,” “Waffle,” and “Denial” omitted from setlist. However, with these guys continuing to expand their catalog, it’s safe to say, it must be a bigger challenge creating a setlist. Hopefully, we will hear these songs on the next leg of their tour, which kicks off at the end of April.
