Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

Has Alice Cooper ever stopped touring? I’m not so sure. If you look at his Wikipedia page you can find a four year gap from 1982-1986 and again from 1991-1995. Otherwise, it feels like Cooper has done nothing but tour and release music the past 50 years straight. Hell, he was fronting The Spiders (later renamed Alice Cooper) the year my mother was born. I’m not trying to downplay other bands and musicians; plenty of musical icon in and out of rock/metal have been working nonstop for years and years. But I feel like nowadays, what with the Internet and all, you hear more and more about how the road is not always so glamorous or the creative burnout that can occur after a few studio albums. And here’s Cooper, still donning the makeup and preparing to die onstage for the billionth time. Good on you, sir. None of us are worthy.
