Canadian six-piece Shooting Guns are a heavy psych band that have been made a name for themselves in their home country, having been nominated for a Juno Metal/Hard Album of the Year for their sophomore album, Brotherhood of the Ram, in 2015. And you may have heard the band’s instrumental work in scoring films like Netflix’s WolfCop. In fact, the band’s been touring their score of F.W. Marnau’s Nosferatu across Canada this year. They also scored the soundtrack to WolfCop‘s sequel, the creatively-titled Another WolfCop, which will be out this month. Today, we’re proud to premiere the video for the title track of their third album, Flavour Country. Here’s what the band says about the video:

‘Comprised of footage scoured from a trove of laser discs and VHS tapes, Shooting Guns latest video is a vivid journey across planet Earth, at times teetering on the verge of delirium, only kept on the rails by the heaviness of the track itself. This video, much like the album it’s named after, sees Shooting Guns exploring new places in search of this elusive Flavour Country and getting lost in the thick walls of sound along the way.’

The near-eight minute instrumental track is heavy, droning, and trancelike, owing as much to Electric Wizard as it does early Pink Floyd, and their work in film is obvious once you listen to the cinematic nature of the song. Flavour Country is out now on Riding Easy Records and can be purchased here.
