We’ve been seeing this happen a lot in the past few weeks – bands that are playing various rock festivals are teaming up for tours to fill out the dates in between them, Opeth and Gojira were one of the first bands to do that. Korn also added some dates last week as well. And with all of the marquee names playing the likes of Chicago Open Air and Rock on the Range, it’s probably going to keep happening. While it hasn’t been officially announced yet, if this rumored tour shapes up, it’s going to be a great one. Apparently, it slipped over the weekend that Slayer may be touring with Lamb of God and Behemoth.
All three bands will be playing at Chicago Open Air on Sunday, July 16th, and Slayer and Lamb of God will be playing Cadott, WI’s Rock Fest on July 13th. That’s kind of conjecture at this point, but an August 2nd show at Broomfield, CO’s 1st Bank Center was listed before being pulled, so it’s kind of a wait and see sort of thing. And by that, we mean, the tour, if there is one, will probably be listed tomorrow.
