While we are still in the first month of 2017, today, (27) is probably one of the biggest anticipated releases. All you have to do is look at our New & Noteworthy section and it will speak for itself. We are excited about this week’s #1 spot among a few surprises. Here are this week’s best music videos!
5) If These Trees Could Talk, “Berlin”
That’s right, the fifth spot goes to post-rockers If These Trees Could Talk. Metal Blade surprised us with a video for “Berlin” off of their third studio album The Bones of a Dying World (2016). If you’re curious about their live gigs, this video captures it well and maybe it will make you want to go to one.
4) Born of Osiris, “Empires Erased”
Born of Osiris premiered the video for “Empires Erased” from their upcoming re-recorded debut EP The New Reign out February 24th via Sumerian Records. The re-envisioned, re-recorded piece will have a new album title The Eternal Reign.
3) Warbringer, “Silhouettes”
At the tail end of last week Warbringer released the video for “Silhouettes” off of their upcoming album Woe To The Vanquished out March 31 via Napalm. The fierce tune will be the opening track as frontman John Kevill admitted “we wanted the album to open with pure annihilation.”
2) Allegaeon, “Of Mind and Matrix”
Allegaeon released the video for “Of Mind and Matrix,” making it the fourth video taken from Proponent of Sentience (2016). You feel you are legitimately stuck in the Matrix in this visually enhanced video by Nick Hipa (director/editor/animator).
1) Kreator, Totalitarian Terror
If you haven’t yet, you should go out and buy Kreator’s Gods of Violence via Nuclear Blast. It is a heavy album from beginning to end filled riffs that will blow you away. With that said, Kreator premiered the video “Totalitarian Terror” and wow. The visuals are graphic, violent, gruesome, reminding us of a horrific time in history.
Bonus: Helion Prime, “Life Finds A Way”
California metallers Helion Prime signed with AFM records! To celebrate we decided to share their video clip of “Life Finds A Way” taken from the self-titled album out February 24! You can preorder the album here.
