While Dark Tranquillity, Swallow the Sun, Enforcer and Starkill are about to conclude the extensive tour that kicked off on November 4 in New York City tomorrow in Houston, Texas, Swallow the Sun keyboardist Aleksi Munter released sudden news of his departure. On his Facebook page, Munter announced that after tomorrow’s show, he’ll no longer continue with the band.
He expressed feeling burnt out and forgetting his own personal projects along with wanting to spend quality time with his soon-to-be wife Olenka as the reasons behind his departure. Munter has been with the band since the very beginning, from 2003’s The Morning Never Came. There have been no further updates at this time on his replacement but hopefully, that will be revealed before they hit the road in March 2017 with Amorphis.
