If you’ve survived GWAR-B-Q for the past six years, well, so has most of GWAR. And while the combination of the headliner and a lake is reason enough to make the trek to Richmond to see their finest sons put on a festival the GWAR-B-Q always lines up a solid bunch of supporting acts. This year, the 7th Annual incarnation of the festival, is no different, and they’ve finally gotten another successful Richmond metal band to play with them. Lamb of God will be making their inaugural appearance at the festival, taking place this August 20th at Hadad’s Lake.
Other acts named in the first round of artists include Against Me! , American Nightmare, EYEHATEGOD, and Lagwagon. And once again, there’s a weekend of entertainment planned. The B4BQ, taking place on August 19th at The National, will feature the Summer Slaughter lineup among others. And with the GWAR Bar in it’s second year of existence, there will be a place to hang out before, after and maybe even during the GWAR-B-Q. Tickets will be going on sale in June, at which point we’ll probably have another list of bands that are making it down.
Here’s a fun cheesy commercial to get you psyched:
