Last night, Iron Maiden proved why they remain one of the most popular touring bands worldwide. With Bruce Dickinson having beat cancer and Ed Force One having beat an accident a few weeks back, Maiden is in top form. Bruce sounds as good as he ever has, all three guitarists create a wall of sound that makes sense even if Janick Gers looks ridiculous, and the set was a nicely-paced mix of The Book of Souls material and classics. The sold-out crowd was on their feet the entire time, and the classics (the Union Jack, Eddie) all made appearances. Photographer and filmmaker Wes Orshoski was on hand to shoot for Metal Insider. This is a must-see show if you haven’t seen Maiden yet. Their remaining U.S. tour dates are here.
