zombieWhen he’s not touring like crazy or releasing super bizarre albums, Rob Zombie dedicates his time to make horror films because, why wouldn’t you if you have the chance? The latest movie he did is simply titled 31 which has been in the works for quite some time and, after the successful crowdfunding campaign it had, we finally have a release date.

31 will open on theaters in September 16th, just a few dates after he finishes his “Return of the Dreads” tour with Korn, and in the same fashion as every Rob Zombie film, it will be rated R which it may sound good, but Zombie’s original film was actually a lot gorier and violent and had a NC-17 rating but had to be trimmed down to be able to be shown on theaters.

As a reminder, the synopsis for the movie reads as follows:

“The day before Halloween, five carnival employees are kidnapped & held hostage in an isolated compound known as “Murderworld”. On Halloween, they are thrown into a sadistic game called “31” where they must survive 12 hours against a gang of maniacs dressed like clowns. However, the clowns aren’t the only ones they need to worry about – a grand scheme of satanic rituals & a much more sadistic plot awakens. It’s time to play 31.”

We suggest you go see the film on release date but I’d say it would be better if you watch it in Halloween night to make it more immersive. Meanwhile, Zombie’s new record The Electric Warlock Acid Watch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser, will be available on April 29th, and can be preordered here.

Finally we have a release date! September 16th!
