Nicole DollangangerNicole Dollanganger is a young singer and songwriter from Canada who recently started getting notoriety in the music scene for her unique style of dream pop. Why is this relevant to us? Because, despite writing and performing the polar opposite of rock or metal music, Dollanganger takes her inspiration from bands like Morbid Angel, Twitching Tongues, Marilyn Manson and Type O Negative.

Dollanganger has previously done covers of Marilyn Manson’s “The Reflecting God” and “The Nobodies” and now her latest rendition to one of her influences goes to Type O Negative’s “Christian Woman” which you can listen below. In a 2015 interview with Nylon, Nicole said:

“I love TYPE O NEGATIVE and Marilyn Manson — they’re two of my biggest inspirations. Peter Steele of TYPE O NEGATIVE is gigantic, like a killing machine, but he could be quite soft, and he walked that line between soft and hard. Marilyn Manson has done the same.”

If you want to hear more of her own work, check out her latest album Natural Born Losers at her bandcamp page.

Black Metal enthusiast from Los Angeles who thought was a good idea to grab a camera and shoot underground shows for the hell of it. Pseudo-writer with little to no expectations of ever winning a Pulitzer but totally down to write about your unknown band if it's good to my ears. I enjoy long walks on the beach, deep conversation, holding hands and attending Satanic music shows every now and then.
