As we have seen before, metal and politics are a touchy subject, but that doesn’t stop musicians from weighing in. Some support one side in specific, some decide to express their distaste for another side, and others go to the opposite side and that’s what Crowbar’s Kirk Windstein declared.

If you’re aware of United States affairs, you know that President Obama gave an executive order earlier this week to increase background checks for people acquiring firearms, tightening the regulations on gun control. Many people weren’t big fans of the commander in chief’s mandate, including Windstein who posted the following about Obama’s tearful speech:

“OBAMA’S FAKE TEARS ARE THE WORST FUCKING ATTEMPT I HAVE EVER SEEN AT CARING…HE HAS DESTROYED THIS COUNTRY, AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO, UNTIL THE DAY HE LEAVES OFFICE. I AM NOT A GUN OWNER, NOR AM I A REPUBLICAN. JUST A DRUG FREE, TAX PAYING CITIZEN.”

When it comes to taste in music or politics, everyone has their own opinion in the matter and everyone is also free to type everything in capital letters. We’ve gotten some comments accusing us of being a commie website supporting the liberal agenda, but we’re happy to offer differing opinions, knowing full well that you can’t make all the people happy all of the time.
