Mushroomhead are on tour right now with Mortiis, so announcing a line-up change from the road is pretty serious. Waylon Reavis was one of three vocalists in Mushroomhead, and now he’s out after a decade with the band.

Reavis posted a statement explaining his departure:

“Due to irreconcilable differences with band ownership, effective today vocalist Waylon Reavis has severed all ties with Mushroomhead and Filthy Hands Company. Waylon is thankful for the opportunity Mushroomhead has provided him the last 11 years and will now be concentrating his time and efforts on another project. Thank you to the fans for all your continued loyalty and support throughout the years. There is no further comment at this time.”

Along with the statement he posted a video (below) telling fans that he had checked out awhile ago, and pleads with fans to not attack the band over the situation. Reavis has been with Mushroomhead for 11 years, appearing on their last three studio albums, including last year’s The Righteous & The Butterfly which debuted at #20 on the Billboard Charts. So far the band has not made an official statement on the departure of Reavis.

Be cool.
