Geoff Rickly is having a bad week. After news broke that his own label Collect Records was being funded by the CEO who raised the price of a pill from $13 to $750, he now gets poisoned and robbed while on tour with his band No Devotion in Germany.
From the No Devotion Instagram account:
“Just a little note to say that I was poisoned & robbed (outside our @reeperbahn_festival venue on Friday) and spent the night in the hospital in Hamburg. I’m recovering and will be in Paris tonight. ❤️ Sorry to anyone that was at our show for the cancellation. The outpouring of love & support for @collectrecords @nodevotionband & @normanbrannon @shaundurkan is nothing short of remarkable.❤️ xoxo”
After vocalist Ian Watkins of Lostprophets plead guilty to child sex charges the remaining members of the band formed No Devotion with vocalist Geoff Rickly from Thursday. They’ve recently released their debut album Permanence last Friday on Rickly’s Collect Records, though the future of the label remains unclear.
