As one of the biggest DJ’s of electronic music in the world, Skrillex has shown to have a very long reach in pop culture and metal is not exempt of that either. We have seen Skrillex sharing stage with KoRn in Coachella a few years back and even blasting some Fear Factory in one of his commercials, but it doesn’t stop there as his latest collaboration was with everyone’s favorite Japanese group, Babymetal.

During the Ultra Music Festival in Tokyo, the DJ called the girls to join him on stage for a mashup of “Gimme Chocolate” and, based on the video below, it looks insane. The stage production for both artists is just massive and with the worldwide popularity Babymetal and Skrillex have, the show was nothing but outstanding. To put that on perspective, Babymetal will play at the Wembley Arena in London next year and if you don’t know how big that place is, it can hold 12,500 people in it. That’s how many people are excited to see them in London alone. Read more about the group from our interview a few months back, which you can find here. Go ahead. We’re not judging anyone here.

Pseudo-writer with little to no expectations of ever winning a Pulitzer but totally down to write about your unknown band if it's good to my ears. I enjoy long walks on the beach, deep conversation, holding hands and attending Satanic music shows every now and then.
