If you haven’t noticed, the ’90s are back in full swing. It doesn’t hurt that some of the best bands of that decade are putting out great albums for the first time since then. Refused and Faith No More both did it, and so did Failure. The Heart is a Monster, their first album since 1996’s Fantastic Planet, is stellar. The band’s sound has pretty much stayed the same, and their live show is spectacular. They stopped by Seattle radio station KEXP last Friday (28), to play a blistering live set at their studios. There’s nowhere to hide in a studio, and they don’t have to. It’s awesome to watch them sound as good as they do with cameras in their faces, and also a good opportunity for those that haven’t seen the band live yet to get a chance to see how they look and sound live. Not to mention that it’s also an interview with the band, so you’ll get to hear Ken Andrews talk about the band’s re-emergence.

You can pick up The Heart is a Monster now on Ingrooves.
