The bad blood between Max Cavalera and Andreas Kisser has essentially prevented the “classic” lineup of Sepultura from reuniting. Hell, it even took Max a while to reunite with his brother Igor Cavalera. So old-school Sepultura fans will have to settle for a mini-reunion of the Morbid Visions lineup.
While performing in Belo Horizonte, Brazil this past Friday (November 16), Max and Igor’s Cavalera Conspiracy was joined onstage by guitarist Jairo Guedz. As you may recall, Guedz appears on Sepultura’s debut EP Bestial Devastation and debut full-length Morbid Visions before leaving the group in 1987. Though he’s previously joined the current version of Sepultura onstage over the past few years (appearing on the 2005 live DVD/CD Live In São Paulo), it’s pretty cool to see Guedz on stage with the Cavalera brothers, especially Max.
