It turns out Tool are men of their words. They announced last week that they would be playing some shows starting in January, and today they announced that tickets for a handful of shows starting on January 9th would go on sale this Friday (20). Eight shows have been announced so far, covering the southwest, south and southeast. Here’s what their Facebook page says:

Those faint glimpses of TOOL SHOWS that I recently perceived in the scrying mirror can now be considered official. Indeed, something wicked your way comes…THE UNPARALLELED SONIC AND VISUAL EXPERIENCE OF TOOL LIVE.

CHECK BACK SOON FOR MORE INFO…

Primus and 3teeth are opening. We’ll have to see what happens next. Will there be more tour dates? Any announcement of a new album? Either way, it looks like 2016 will be a busy year for the band. Hell, after January 13th, they’ll already have had a busier year than 2015.
