The last time Megadeth performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, they celebrated Halloween by dressing up. And last night, Dave Mustaine and company celebrated Christmas by showing Kimmel what a Megadeth Christmas album would sound like.
The bit finds Megadeth (decked out in Christmas sweaters) putting their own twist on a few holiday classics to some confused and unhappy kids, including a rendition of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” with indie rock superstar Jenny Lewis. Whether or not you’d actually ever want to hear Dave Mustaine sing “Frosty The Snowman,” it’s always fun to see Megadeth in silly mode (and awesome that they gave the rest of the band lines as well).
Watch the “promo” for Thrashing Through The Snow: A Very Megadeth Christmas, as well as Megadeth’s on-air performance of “Kingmaker,” below.
