The new In Flames record, Siren Charms, has been a long time coming. They began teasing the album back in April via their ‘hacked’ website. Then they unveiled the album artwork. And while the first single, “Rusted Nail,” won’t be commercially available until Tuesday (17), many have already gotten a chance to hear it after the single leaked. So it’s safe to say that there’s a demand to hear new In Flames music before the album is officially released on September 9 via Sony/Red.
Thankfully, there’s a new track that’s been made available for the next 24 hours. “Through Oblivion” was premiered at Revolver, and will be made available as an instant gratification download for anyone that pre-orders Siren Charms, which will made available to pre-order via iTunes the same day “Rusted Nail” becomes available, on Tuesday. However “Through Oblivion” won’t be delivered until July 15th. As for the track itself, it’s a bit more melodic than “Rusted Nail,” and suggests that the album itself might be a little more melodic than even Sounds of a Playground Fading. Let us know your thoughts on “Through Oblivion.”
