It seems as of late, Ozzy Osbourne has more on his plate besides a head of a bat.
The Prince of Darkness just announced that Ozzfest will return (in some fashion) after a one year break. A separate, 18-month tour will launch in conjunction for a yet untitled album, scheduled for a July release. With the latest album in its final stages, the original title was slated to be Soul Sucka, yet Oz, for once the voice of reason, has decided to rename it. “I can’t imagine me walking around the fucking house with the words ‘Soul Sucka’ on my T-shirt,” Oz said in a recent Rolling Stone article, “so I was like, ‘Fuck It.'”
Ozzy also again commented on the Zakk fiasco: “I haven’t fallen out with Zakk. [but] He actually has his own fucking thing. I knew I had to get another guitar player for a while. I just kept putting it off and putting it off.”
If you can’t wait until July to get your Oz fix, there’s more: Osbourne’s autobiography, I Am Ozzy is hitting bookshelves with a book tour starting today in NewYork. Along with the book, the singer plans on releasing a highly anticipated live DVD featuring rare footage from 1981 of the late Randy Rhoads.
