While metal never goes out of style anywhere, certain genres seem to flourish in Europe. Symphonic metal in particular has never been more popular than it is now, with bands like Epica, Nightwish and Amaranthe, to name a few, proudly waving the flag for melodic heavy metal. Nemesea, a dutch band, have been around for fifteen years, but after the release of their fourth album, last year’s Uprise, longtime singer Manda Ophuis left the band. They’ve since found a replacement, Sanne Mieloo, and to welcome her, the band have recorded an alternate version of that album’s opener, “Hear Me,” with Mieloo singing. Here’s what the band says about the new version:
Nemesea is banging on your door with this new version of ‘Uprise’ track “Hear Me.” vocalist Sanne pulls off a tour de force with audible ease and the new dirty key sound production by Matthijs offers you a glimpse of Nemesea 2.0!
The track is out now as a digital single that you can pick up on iTunes here.
