On June 20, Anthrax’s second most important release of the year came out: Scott Ian’s first child. Though the birth of Ian and wife Pearl Aday’s son Revel Young Ian came three weeks early, Anthrax have been prepared for the goateed guitarist’s absence from the band’s upcoming European dates since March when announcing that Sepultura’s Andreas Kisser would be filling in on guitar.
This past Saturday (July 2), Kisser made his live debut with Anthrax during the Big 4’s European tour kick off in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The Sepultura guitarist also took part in the Big 4’s jams that same night, as well as the following night in Sweden. Kisser will be playing nine more shows with Anthrax this month, the next being in Zurich, Switzerland tonight (July 5).
Multiple fan filmed videos of Kisser performing with Anthrax in Germany for the first time have been posted online. You can see the band jamming on Sepultura riffs before going into “I Am The Law” up top, while clips of them performing “Antisocial” and “Medusa” can be seen after the jump.
