The first installment of Iommi: The Godfather of Heavy Metal is now available, marking the launch of a new limited docuseries focused on the life and legacy of Tony Iommi. The series is streaming exclusively on Gibson TV, with additional episodes set to roll out throughout 2026. Volume One traces Iommi’s journey from his working-class upbringing in Birmingham, England, through the formation of Black Sabbath. The episode blends archival material with new interviews, examining how Iommi’s approach to guitar and songwriting influenced generations that followed.

The episode features in-depth conversations with Iommi alongside commentary from a wide range of artists, including Brian May, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Yungblud, Scott Ian, John 5, Philip Anselmo, Blackie Lawless, Tom Morello, Troy Van Leeuwen, Rob Halford, and Justin Broadrick.
