As we know (as does Revocation), Miss May I have a new album, Deathless, coming out on Rise Records on August 7th. Today, the band debuted a song, “I. H. E.,” along with preorders for the album. The first taste of the Ohio metalcore band’s fifth album starts out really promisingly, with tight riffage, and that lasts until the chorus, which is when we find out what the three letters stand for. It stands for two things, actually, “I Hate Everything” and “I Hate Everyone.” Sure, the band are still pretty young, given that they’ve been around for eight years, but the lyrical content of the chorus sounds like it was written by an eight year old that was just sent to his room. At any rate, lyrics aside, it’s one of the more tightly-constructed and heavier songs the band’s written. You can preorder the album here.
