Metallica have released pro-shot footage of “Holier Than Thou” from their April 24 concert in Toronto, part of the ongoing M72 World Tour. The band kicked off their 2025 leg in Syracuse, NY, and recently delivered a memorable performance at Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium on May 7. During that show, their rendition of “Enter Sandman,” a Hokies football tradition, prompted seismic activity from the 60,000 fans jumping in unison, an event dubbed the “Metallica Quake” by fans and local media. A behind-the-scenes video from the Virginia location of Metallica’s M72 tour was also shared. Meanwhile, during the weekend of May 1–4, 2025, in Nashville, James Hetfield met Kentucky Derby contender Sandman—named after the iconic Metallica track that recently triggered the now-famous “Metallica Quake.”
