This weekend, Kanye West has once again announced he’s running for President for the 2020 Election. A little late, yes, and his chances appear unlikely. Whether it’s for a publicity stunt to promote new music, or he’s genuinely serious about becoming the next President, Kanye expressed his interest in running via Twitter:

“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION

Based on responses to his Tweet, Kanye already has support from Elon Musk. Speaking of responses, Kanye has started a trend as artists, including Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda and Nekrogoblikon’s “John Goblikon” have expressed their interest in running for President:

Perhaps Shinoda and Nekrogoblikon have both used this “decision” as a tool to promote new music. Shinoda recently announced he will be releasing a second solo album, Dropped Frames Vol. 1, which was recorded during Shinoda’s Twitch streams and the record will arrive this Friday (10th) via his Kenji Kobayashi Productions label.  Nekrogoblikon have released a cover of System of A Down’s “Chop Suey.”

Update: Ghoul have confirmed that they will be running for President as well:
