For Limp Bizkit fans who have been anxiously waiting for the band to release the video for their latest single, they did so today. Well, kind of. The official video for “Ready to Go” was posted via Vimeo, then mysteriously disappeared quite conveniently after media sources began analyzing the production of Fred Durst belting out song lines from the toilet.
Whether or not the video yank and Durst’s performance are connected, don’t fear. You can still catch glimpses of his narcissistic antics belted passionately from the commode on unofficially released versions of the video via YouTube for the track featuring Lil’ Wayne. The video shows concert footage clips of Durst yelling to large audiences, commanding their attention while he restakes his claim on the celebrity world with his faithful references to being so “poker faced ladies goin GaGa” and the “one who brought Britney to her knees.”
While the band is still polishing up their upcoming album Stampede of the Disco Elephants to be released on Cash Money Records, maybe it was the song that the Bizkit camp is nervous about. Bizkit’s last album launch in 2011 faced low demand and the group soon parted ways with Interscope Records, announcing a deal with Cash Money in 2012. But the answer everyone is looking for could be clinched in the chorus. “They say that rock shit doesn’t rock anymore.” Decide for yourself if Bizkit proves or disproves their own point by watching the unofficial video above.
UPDATE: The video has been officially released and can be seen below.
