Ignacia Fernández, the 27-year-old vocalist and founder of Chilean progressive death metal bandDecessus, was crowned Miss World Chile 2025 during the finals held on Sunday (9th). Fernández went viral late last week after performing a death metal song during the pageant’s semifinals. Representing Las Condes, she performed an original Decessus track while wearing a gown, joined onstage by guitarist Carlos Palma. Beating out 19 other finalists, Fernández will now represent Chile in the Miss World 2026 competition.
