What more is there to be said about metal/J-pop crossover act Babymetal that hasn’t already been said. “Karate,” the band’s first single from their sophomore album, Metal Resistance, has been out for a few weeks now, and it’s actually getting some airplay in America. Earlier today, the video for the song premiered on Music Choice, and for a song called “Karate,” it’s surprisingly light on martial arts. There is some white-clad ninja, some choreography and a little bit of a story line as Su-Metal, Yumetal and Moametal battle a trio of ghost-like creatures. There’s also a Karate Kid-like moment involving a fly. At any rate, the video’s already racked up over 143,000 views, which is pretty impressive.
