Ascension Of The Watchers, the alt-rock/ambient project of Fear Factory vocalist Burton C. Bell, has released a music video for their latest single, “Ghost Heart.”

“I am very proud to present the first single, ‘Ghost Heart,’ from our latest recording, ‘Apocrypha,’ said Bell in a statement. “The song was recorded exactly the way I wanted it to sound; powerfully mysterious, which also describes the video created by Victor Hugo-Borge. A surreal landscape for the cinematic tones that is the moving track ‘Ghost Heart’.”

“Ghost Heart” is the first single from Ascension Of The Watchers’ upcoming sophomore full-length studio album Apocrypha. The follow-up to 2008’s Numinosum, the new album was originally announced in 2018 and fully crowdfunded through the platform PledgeMusic, the album’s release was put on hold when PledgeMusic filed for bankruptcy and did not pay out the money that was meant for the project. Apocrypha will finally be released on October 9 via Dissonance Productions. The album, available in digital, CD and 2xLP (black and clear), can be pre-ordered now.

Reads a statement on the band’s website announcing the album:

“After ten years of writing and recording, along with reflection on the very personal nature of this project, Ascension Of The Watchers will renew its journey in 2020. With plans of conceptualized touring, Ascension Of The Watchers continues to grow as Bell’s main creative endeavor, well into the future.”

Ascension Of The Watchers is currently Bell on vocals and guitar, musical collaborator/AOTW co-founder John Bechdel on keyboards and Jayce Lewis on drums, backing vocals and programming.
