Twitter is a great equalizer. If a musician, artist or actor engages with the social media platform, it can be an instant Reddit AMA, essentially. A tweet can completely surpass a PR agency, cutting out the filter. It can even lay bare the thoughts of a reality show TV host in front of a bunch of people. No, we’re not talking about the President, although it totally applies to him as well. We’re talking about Bar Rescue host Jon Taffer, who’s apparently an Every Time I Die fan.

Taffter tweeted he decided he was “going back on tour,” to which ETID bassist Steve Micciche asked if they could open for him.

Is the 62 year-old host really an Every Time I Die fan? Well, that remains to be seen. While he did grow up in New York, he’s from Long Island, not Buffalo. And maybe he decided to Google the band to find a fun album name, which The Big Dirty certainly is. That being said, while there are some solid songs on it (like “We’rewolf,” “No Son of Mine” and “INRIhab”), it’s definitely not their best album. It’ll be interesting to see if anything comes of this, but Every Time I Die is certainly game for it:
