Since the passing of iconic legend David Bowie, the tributes from those who respected the man haven’t stopped coming from every direction possible. You can find hardcore covers, tattoos, and even clock towers playing some of his tunes for the next few months and the latest one to pay homage to Ziggy Stardust are Shooter Jennings and Marilyn Manson.
Manson teamed up as a guest with Shooter Jennings to sing “Cat People” a tribute track done for songwriter and producer Giorgio Moroder, who wrote the song for Bowie. The track will be part of Jennings‘ new album Countach (For Giorgio), out February 26th.
Jennings said the following about the collaboration:
“I invited him out to a party at this bar, and I said, ‘Hey, you know ‘Cat People‘? You want to do that song on this record, ’cause you’d sound awesome doing it.’ And he was like, ‘I sing that song every night before I go onstage. That’s my song I warm up to.’ So one night I went over to his house at three in the morning and brought all my recording gear.”
