Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave/Prophets of Rage guitarist Tom Morello released a new solo album, The Atlas Underground, last year. Now he’s taking the record on the road for a US spring tour.

Dubbed The Atlas Underground Live: The Last Big Event Before We All Go To Jail, the trek kicks off May 3 in Jacksonville, FL. The run will be making stops in Tennessee, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, New York, Virginia, Ohio and Maryland before wrapping things up with an appearance at George, WA’s End Of The Rainbow Festival on May 24.

The tour is being described as:

“One part Marshall stack guitar madness and one part bass drop meltdown. The show will be an intense sonic and visual “less talk, more rock” experience that’s somewhere between a crazy mosh pit, an illegal rave, a subversive art installation, and a prison riot.”

The Atlas Underground was released in October 2018 and features a host of special guests, including Marcus Mumford (Mumford & Sons), Tim McIlrath (Rise Against), Portugal. The Man, Knife Party, Steve Aoki,  Big Boi, GZA and RZA, among many others. Though this is his fourth solo album, it is the first he released under his own name. Between 2007 and 2011 he released three full-length albums under his political-folk alter-ego The Nightwatchman.
