Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler turned 69 this year, which is pretty amazing considering the band is still touring. However, due to what’s vaguely being described as “unexpected medical issues,” the frontman has been sidelined, and the band are being forced to cancel their South American tour, which was to have kicked off tomorrow. Tyler’s condition will keep him from traveling or performing. Tyler says in the tweet that he’s not in a life-threatening condition, and hopes to be “back on his feet still rocking the world.”
Those are the only current dates listed for the band. Earlier this year, the band’s Aero-Vederci Baby! tour ran from May to July in Europe, and it was billed as their “farewell” tour. They still haven’t hit North America yet, but the following shows are cancelled:
09/27 Curitiba, Brazil
09/30 Santiago, Chile
10/03 Rosario, Argentina
10/07 Monterrey, Mexico
