After a decade and four albums, 70’s-influenced stoner rockers Graveyard have decided to break up. The culprit? Creative differences. Just last year, the band released Innocence & Decadence, which debuted at #2 on the Swedish charts. They also toured the states with Clutch and Mastodon. Apparently, their success wasn’t enough to keep them from breaking up. The band’s breakup comes as they’d been set to play five shows in Europe, including Belgium’s Desertfest. Here’s the band’s Facebook statement.
If there’s any silver lining to this, it’s that they don’t entirely shut the door on returning someday. And at least the band have had a great run without putting out any crappy albums and are going out on their own terms.
