We are saddened to report another tragedy that struck over the weekend as Iron Age guitarist Wade Allison has passed away. There are no additional details on his death as the tragic news arrived over the weekend following several social media posts, including the label, 20 Buck Spin, confirming his death. The Texas-based group, as well as Allison, have been a significant influence on Power Trip. Iron Age released two albums, 2006’s Constant Struggle and 2009’s The Sleeping Eye. Allison had also been a member of Mammoth Grinder and Eternal Champion.

RIP Wade Allison another brother lost. Great friend and unreal songwriter/musician. He proved that you can still do familiar styles/sounds but inject your unique weirdness into it to make it your own. We exist because of his character & vibe. LOVE FOREVER.

Not everyone is aware that Wade Allison also played on the 2013 @MammothGrinder ‘Underworlds’ LP that we released. One of our favorites in the label discography. RIP Wade. pic.twitter.com/j49NCwKV5O

There isn’t one thing that would accurately memorialise knowing Wade Allison, being in his presence as a musician, and it definitely could not do justice to the hurt of finding out he is gone. My heart goes out to the Allisons, the Metz’, and all our surrogate Texas family. 💙

R.I.P. Wade Allison. I’ll never forget hearing the master for Constant Struggle and when “Evil Ways” came on, I realized that you were on a whole other level.
