While we’re still waiting for the release of the Sea Shepherd EP, Gojira have revealed that they’ve entered  recording studio in New York to record their next full length album. The band even teased us with new pictures taken from the studio posted on their Facebook page. However, thanks to an anonymous tip to Metal Sucks, we may have an idea as to Gojira’s new label home.

According to a Facebook posting made by Spin Recording Studios (where the band is reportedly recording), Gojira is currently tracking with co-producer/engineer Josh Wilbur (Lamb Of God) for an album to be released via Roadrunner Records. While there still has been no official confirmation about the signing, Gojira have been free agents since their contract with Prosthetic Records came to an end this Summer. Either way, this would be a very promising deal for both Roadrunner and Gojira. The French metal band could gain a bigger push from a major indie metal label, while Roadrunner would certainly gain a lot of cred by snagging one of the hottest underground metal groups.

However, as we’ve stated before, nothing has been confirmed. We’ll just have to wait to see if more develops.
