It’s week 6 in the Big Brother house and let’s welcome the newest houseguest to the game – JENN ARROYO!!!! Sadly – it took Jenn getting named a replacement nominee for her to finally kick her game into gear! Let’s go back and find out how this happened. For those following the game at home, this season has been one of the craziest ones that this fan can remember. Plans change from day to day, and all the progress people make one week gets torn down the next.

Last week Jenn’s former teammate Frank was HoH and had the chance to make a big move by taking Wil off the block and putting up veteran player & Season 10 winner Dan. Frank & Jen’s ex-coach Mike ‘Boogie’ talked Frank out of making the big move – and keeping their alliance the Silent Six intact. When another Silent Six member, Shane won HoH his ex-coach Brit heard from Ian (the super fan and member of the Quack Pack alliance) that Boogie was targeting her and Shane. Brit told Shane about this and he then nominated Frank & Boogie. This shattered the Silent Six as Boogie & Frank went on the offensive and started causing trouble throughout the house. After Frank won the Power of Veto and took himself off, Shane had to find someone to replace him with. Despite Boogie & Frank working hard to get Dan put up as a replacement because they were convinced he was the one who spilled the beans to Brit, Shane kept true to his other alliance, the Quack Pack, and nominated Jenn as a pawn so that would be one less vote that Boogie could count on.

Well, sadly Jenn did not realize she was just a pawn, and Shane did not do a good job telling her this at first. This caused Jenn to finally start playing the game as she feared her time may be coming to an end. She knows how strong of a player Boogie is – he did win Big Brother All-Stars – and how convincing he could be. Without knowing the plan, Jenn went on the offensive and started calling people out left and right. She heard from Boogie that Dan was the one that was calling all the shots, so she passed by him and quoted a Kittie lyric “you look so pretty / digging your grave.”

She also got into a heated discussion with of all people Ashley – whom she was starting to work with last week. Ashley came in to the HoH bedroom where Jenn was and asked her to talk. Jenn’s response was “you can suck it, Ashley!” Once Jenn made the rounds and found out that she was in fact just a pawn and would be safe this week, she calmed down a bit & completely disassociated herself from Frank who is fighting hard to keep Boogie in the game over her. As it looks as of this moment – Jenn will be safe this week and going into tonight’s Double Elimination – she may get through this night safe as well – as the house has been split and Jenn is not on anyone’s hit list. BUT as we all know – strange things happen in the BB house and Jenn’s mini meltdown earlier this week could come back to bite her later. At least for one week we got to see the fire and drive behind our beloved Metalhead Jenn – hopefully this will kickstart her heart, mind, and body – and she will start to become a full time player in her quest to win the half million dollars!

Tonight make sure you catch CBS’ Big Brother at 9PM ET – as the double eviction episodes are always packed with drama. For those of you who don’t know – it’s basically a week of Big Brother in one night. It starts with the live vote to evict Jenn or Boogie, then right into the Head of Household competition, the winner just has a few minutes to make their nominations, and then they go and play for the Power of veto. Whoever wins gets to make their decision to use it or not, and then they go into the next live eviction. 10 people are in the house right now, 8 will be there after tonight’s episode. Get your popcorn, it’s gonna be quite the show.

You can catch me every Tuesday on “Rants & Roars” on Superpass and get my take on all the house guests.
