Evan Brewer Comments On Absence From The Faceless Tour, Says He Hasn’t Quit The Band

evan brewerIt didn’t take long for people to notice that bassist Evan Brewer has been absent as of late during The Faceless’ current run with Between The Buried And Me. It made many people speculate the bassist’s current status in the band. After all, it wouldn’t mark the first time The Faceless quietly parted ways with members. However, Brewer has now finally put the rumors to rest, issuing a statement regarding his absence from the tour.

While saying he is “not looking to quit the band,” Brewer gave the following explanation for his absence:

“I’m sure many of you have become aware of the fact that I have not been out with The Faceless on their current tour. I’ve been using this time to explore a potential musical opportunity that has presented itself. Initially we didn’t feel the need to say anything because we thought it was only going to be a couple of shows missed but, due to the circumstances, it became apparent that it would be better for them to finish the tour without me.

I am not looking to quit the band, merely exploring an opportunity and I hope to be back on tour with The Faceless again in the near future. We will fill you all in on details regarding future tours as soon as they develop. Please go support The Faceless on the rest of this fantastic tour and I will catch up with you all down the road.”

While remaining mum on what the potential musical opportunity is, this does fall in line with a rumor Metal Sucks heard about Brewer auditioning for a “legendary” band. One thing fans don’t have to worry about, though, is The Faceless calling it quits for good.
