It had been since 2009 since Buffalo metalcore band It Dies Today put out an album, but roughly a year ago, they announced they were back in the studio working on a new album. The band had been working on the album since, with help from original front man, Nicholas Brooks, even releasing a song. One year later, it seems like the album may never come out, or at least, it will take much longer, as they announced via their Facebook page that they’re postponing everything:

Dear all, Due to a severe case of writers’ block and family life, the new effort has been postponed indefinitely. We will let you know when we kick things back up. Thank you to everyone who has been patient with us, came to support and hang with us over the 10th anniversary of Caitiff shows. We love you very much.

Wow. Six years in metalcore years is like 25 years in normal music years. They’d better hope that their die hard fans are still around if and when they decide to continue on.
