While there are plenty of metal shows that play New York City on any given night, there’s are precious few that begin with Mr. Belding from Saved by the Bell introducing the headliner. Yet that’s how Dennis Haskins spent at least part of his night last night, bringing up Fear Factory. Given that the band were playing 1995’s Demanufacture in it’s entirety and that Saved by the Bell was at its peak popularity in the early ’90s as well, maybe that makes sense. At any rate, the sold-out show also featured Soilwork, who we shot, and Ikillya, who we didn’t. The show was popular enough that a second NYC show was added, so if you’re interested in seeing this again in NYC, you can head to the Gramercy this coming Monday (11). Metal Insider contributing photographer Melinda Oswandel was on hand to shoot the two headliners.
