Year of the Knife vocalist Madi Watkins has been discharged from a Salt Lake City medical facility. The release follows a horrific van accident the band was in back in late June. The accident left Watkins with significant injuries, including brain trauma, broken jaws, femur, pelvis, ankle, and a fractured tibia.

Despite undergoing multiple surgeries and months of physical, cognitive, and speech therapy, Watkins still faces a challenging road to recovery. Her return home necessitates updates to make her residence more mobility-friendly, prompting the band to keep their GoFundMe active. Madi Watkins’ husband/bandmate, Brandon Watkins, shared a video celebrating Madi’s discharge.

Year Of The Knife’s new album, No Love Lost, was recorded before the accident and is set to arrive on October 27th via Pure Noise Records, where the label kindly allows all proceeds to go towards the band’s recovery fun. The group has recently shared two new songs, which you can check out here.
