Slipknot have confirmed the title of their new song, “Long May You Die,” recorded during recent sessions featuring the band’s latest addition, former Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande. In a social media post on Wednesday (15th), the band confirmed fan speculation about the new track, stating:

“Slipknot fans are talking amongst themselves about ‘Long May You Die’ being a new song written during the recent recording sessions. ‘You’re right. You’re absolutely right.'”

Slipknot have recently added a second performance in Los Angeles to their Here Comes The Pain North American Summer Tour. This tour celebrates 25 years of Slipknot, featuring special guests Knocked Loose, Orbit Culture, and Vended. The additional LA show is scheduled for Saturday, September 14, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA.

Eloy Casagrande officially issued a statement on being the band’s new drummer earlier this month while sharing a photo of himself, stating:

“It’s an exciting moment. Unthinkable until then. There is nothing to lose, there is nothing to win. There is just living. We’re here as one. Thank you SLIPKNOT for trusting me. Thanks to all the maggots and fans around the world. See you on the road. Here comes more pain.”
