When it comes to concerts, 2020 is more or less cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As locations continue to move forward with their reopening phases, we are still curious to know what the new normal will look like when it comes to shows. As most tours that we were looking forward to attending this year has come to an abrupt postponement or cancellation, one of the most significant shows will now turn into a major live stream event this Friday (12th). The Tour of The Year will kick off this Friday at 5 PM EST, and SiriusXM’s Jose Mangin will host it. The virtual event will feature full sets from Megadeth, Lamb of God, Trivium, and In Flames, along with an exclusive interview with each band before the broadcast of their set. The streaming event will take place at this location.
The sets will include:
Megadeth’s 2016 secret show from Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, New York.
Lamb of God will stream their House of Vans in Chicago performance from February of this year.
Trivium will stream their 2019 performance from DreamHack Dallas.
In Flames will stream their 2019 headline set from their own festival Borgholm Brinner in Sweden.
Additionally, there will be a new merch store featuring new, exclusive tour items that will only be available for 72 hours. A portion of the proceeds will go to Crew Nation, Live Nation’s fund to help support live music crews following the aftermath of COVID-19.
