Craft have announced longtime frontman Nox will be taking a step back from his duties within the band. Nox has helped make Craft one of Sweden’s top black metal powerhouses. His excellent raw and commanding vocal delivery has served Craft’s sinister aims since 2000.

The band writes:

“We want to make it very clear that Nox is still a part of Craft. It is however important for us to keep bringing forth new material and especially performing it live, and for now — this simply does not fit with Nox’s other commitments.”

Craft, including Nox, has already selected a new vocalist whose identity will be revealed soon. Fortunately, Craft clarifies Nox will appear on their next album, though, of course, not in the capacity of lead singer. Craft’s most recent record, White Noise and Black Metal (2018) earned much success and showcased Katatonia’s Daniel “Mojjo” Moilanen’s drumming prowess as a session artist.

The band currently features ex-Bloodbath’s Joakim Karlsson on guitars, ex-Diabolical’s Tobias Jansson on guitars, ex-Shining’s Phil A. Cirone on bass, and ex-Diabolical’s Pär Johansson on drums. Formed in 1994 as Nocta, Craft assumed their current name in 1998 and has also boasted talents like Wulkanaz’s Daniel Halén and ex-Shining’s John Doe.
