Devastation is an understatement to find out what happened to Betraying the Martyrs’ first-ever North American headlining tour. The group’s Mercedes Sprinter Van caught fire during the middle of their run resulting in an immediate tour cancellation. Their gear was destroyed and left the band no choice but to launch a GoFundMe campaign to make up for their sudden financial losses.

Meanwhile, additional sad news has surfaced as Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler has officially left the group. While we are still processing both incidents, we found out that Adler’s drum kit he used with Megadeth during their 2016 Dystopia album was one of the instruments burned in the Betraying the Martyrs’ van fire.

It has been reported that the drum kit that was used for the French metallers tour was one that Adler lent to them before the trek kicked off.

While crew members and the band are unharmed, video of the fire has surfaced online:

Betraying the Martyrs have recently expressed their gratitude to their fans as they’ve returned safely back home in Paris, France.

Check out their update below:

“Massive THANK YOU to everyone who’s been helping us out in the toughest time of our band’s career.

If you’ve helped on Gofundme, donated via PayPal, or simply shared or Retweeted our story, thank you from the bottom of our hearts 🖤

We’re now back in Paris, trying our best to get back on our feet, buying the personal belongings we’ve lost (we all bought new underwears yesterday!), as well as starting to replace the most important gear that we miss to rebuild our live rig and come back stronger than we’ve ever been.

Thanks to all of you, WE ARE THE RESILIENT !!!

We’ve almost reached our goal in less than a week, guys, we’re almost there, this is mind-blowing !!! 🤘😍🤘

Mad love to every single one of you. ♥️

Aaron, Baptiste, Victor, Valentin, Boris, Steeves”
